POSITIONS AND DUTIES
Founder
-Started this organization and is the CEO of this organization.
-Manages affairs and disputes within the organization.
-Guide and give new goals to the student club at York University.
-Attend all events and meetings with the student club, and other organizations.
-Ensure that all executive decisions and actions are carried out.
-Recruit new members to this organization.
-Frequently in touch with the student organization and ensure they are on the right path.
Co-Founder
- Founder and Co-Founder started this organization together.
-The person in charge in the absence of the Founder.
-Has the same responsibilities as of the Founder.
-Make executive decisions on behalf of the Founder.
-Supervise important events.
Director
-Research new motives and introduce new goals to the Founder that are relevant to this organization.
-Introduce new ideas and prepare any new documents that might be needed in the future.
-Responsible for any projects that are held by this organization.
-Manages the organization in the absence of Founder and Co-Founder.
-Make executive decisions on behalf of the Founder and Co-Founder.
President
-CEO of Idle Free Ontario York University student club.
-Manage affairs and disputes within the club.
-Attend all events and meetings and appoint new members on the committee.
-Establish relations with other student clubs and organizations and verify all executive decisions and actions are carried out.
-The signing officer for the student organization.
Vice-President
-Replaces the President in their absence and serve as program chair person of the club.
-Ensure that the club is operational and running normally.
-Has all the same responsibilities as of the President.
-The signing officer for the student organization.
-Communicate with executive members on daily basis to keep track of club’s progress.
Website Administrator
-Update the website frequently and operational.
-Solve any technical issues.
-Keep communication flow consistent of the network.
-Modify or create new accounts for newly recruited executive members by the board and guide them how to access executive necessities.
VP Coordinator
-Head of events and social activities.
-Keep an accurate, permanent record of the organization.
-In charge of all correspondence.
-Notify the appropriate publications and post information regarding meetings and activities.
-Responsible for taking minutes and elaborating annual reports.
-Holds the constitution of the club.
-Notify general public of club cause and associated laws.
-Correspondence through emails and website.
Editor in Chief
-Review, edit and look over policies regarding all content that is displayed on the website.
-The editor in chief must approve any content that is displayed on the website.
-All documents must be reviewed by editor in chief before finalizing it.
VP Finance
-Treasurer of this organization.
-Manages all expenses.
-Holds all records and receipts of expenses and balance sheets in an organized manner.
-Find and apply for funding and look for sponsors.
-Provide proposals and other necessary documents when applying for funding or to sponsors.
-Provide a balance sheet when asked upon by the President or the Vice-President.
-Must keep all funding information confidential within the organization.
Speaker (Chair)
-Preserves order and decorum.
-Conducts meetings for the organization.
-Does not have any role with the student organization and may not take part in debate nor vote.
Chief-Returning Officer (CRO)
-Serve as the principal election official.
-Hold elections at the end of every year for the student club or the organization (when needed).
-Responsible for the administration, conduct and reporting of electoral proceedings.
- May not take part in an official vote.
