YORK UNIVERSITY CAMPAIGN


The York University campaign took place from October 2009-December 2009. This included of three phases which are:


  1. 1.Observing a location which has most amount of traffic during rush hour and making a log of how many people idle. This task was done for 2 weeks for the same time frame.

  2. 2.Then engage a conversation with the drivers who are idling and raise awareness that they are idling.

  3. 3.Lastly, after phase 1, measurements were done to see if there were any reduction in idling.
